Tools for Exploring and Visualizing US Demographic Change

Tools for Exploring and Visualizing US Demographic Change In-Person

Are you interested in the changing demographic characteristics of a US county, city, or neighborhood over the past several decades or state or county level demographic change since the 1790s? If so, the library offers several tools that allow you to easily access, manipulate, and visualize census data. In this workshop you will learn how to use Social Explorer and SimplyAnalytics to access demographic data from multiple years. You will also learn how to create simple, yet visually compelling maps that depict changing demographic characteristics.
