Searching in Historical Newspapers: Searching in Atlanta Historical Newspapers Online
Humanities Librarian Jill Anderson and History Librarian Lauren Bellard will discuss and demonstrate search strategies for finding articles and other items in two Atlanta historical newspaper databases:
- Atlanta Journal-Constitution Historical Archive 1883 – Current (new!), which includes both the Atlanta Journal and the Atlanta Constitution
- Atlanta Daily World, 1931-2003, Atlanta’s oldest continuously published African American newspaper
They will also briefly discuss access to other Atlanta-area historical newspapers and suggest strategies for locating other Georgia-based historical newspapers.
