This workshop introduces attendees to using SQL. Structured query language (SQL) is a programming language for storing and processing information in a relational database. A relational database stores information in tabular form, with rows and columns representing different data attributes and the various relationships between the data values. You can use SQL statements to store, update, remove, search, and retrieve information from the database.
Prerequisites: None.
Software/Hardware Requrements: Attendees may be required to bring their own laptops with MySQL and PopSQL installed -- registrants will be emailed with clarification about these requirements as the workshop date approaches.
NOTE: Please read our Workshops ~ Etiquette & Policies page for pertinent information to your workshop attendance.
Presenter(s): Ufuk Seçilmiş, M.S. Candidate in the Mathematics & Statistics Department and Graduate Research Assistant with the Library's Research Data Services Team
