Listen Up! A Podcasting Gathering is a FREE podcasting workshop led by media experts from NPR and WABE. This in-person event is for student podcasters and others interested in learning more about podcasting. Sponsored by GSU Library with special guests from WABE radio, National Public Radio, oral history experts, a local history podcaster, and more.

Learn the art of podcasting from industry experts!

What to expect:

  • Learn tips and tricks for making an effective podcast 

  • Learn how to conduct a more effective interview 

  • Learn about the GSU Library’s resources and spaces for podcasting

  • Learn about NPR’s College Podcast Challenge (open to all GSU students) – with the chance to win cash prizes! 

  • Network with peers and learn from others’ experiences

Welcome WABE, #AmplifyingAtlanta through award-winning independent journalism, and special guests from National Public Radio.

Learn from WABE radio staff as they make a podcast on the spot with audience members while explaining podcasting basics.

Hear from WABE and NPR staff as they discuss NPR’s College Podcast Challenge, a competition that accepts submissions from 2- and 4-year university students from around the U.S. The grand prize is $5000, with $500 for the finalists.
