Python for Scientific Computing - Part 03

This workshop is the third session of a workshop series where the instructor will introduce Python as a language for scientific computing. The intended audience is intermediate Python users. The third workshop will cover some data acquisition and processing techniques. The instructor will show how to access a remote data repository using an API, gather remote data and create data frames in python, basic time-series analysis, and quarry and filter data using Pandas python package.The participants will complete all hands-on material using web-based tools, DICE High-Performance Interactive learning environment, and no software installation needed on local computers.

Attendees are expected to bring laptop computers to access the web-based tools during the workshop.

Registration is only open for Georgia State student, faculty and staff.
