Introduction to LaTeX document preparation system In-Person
This workshop is a general overview of a document preparation system LaTeX. LaTeX is a high-quality typesetting system; it includes features designed for the production of technical and scientific documentation. LaTeX is the de facto standard for the communication and publication of scientific documents. In this workshop, you will learn how to create ready-to-publish articles and presentation slides using Overleaf, an online LaTeX editor.
IMPORTANT: Prior to coming to the workshop, please go to the Overleaf website and create an account by clicking the "register" button.
Please note: This workshop creates all documents using code. No previous knowledge of coding is required.
Workshop Topics:
- Document formatting (text, formulas/equations, tables, figures)
- Creating bibliographies for papers
- Creating presentations with LaTeX's Beamer
- File conversion and publishing
Prerequisites: None.
