GSU Data Ready! Badges Micro-Credentialing: https://lib.gsu.edu/data-ready

This workshop is on using NVivo qualitative data analysis software to do team work / team coding in NVivo involving 2 or more people. It will cover various strategies for tracking team members’ work in NVivo and comparing coding, including generating inter-rater reliability measures.

Workshop Topics

-- Creating and organizing NVivo project files for independent coding

-- Merging / importing individual team member's project files into a master copy file

-- Comparing coding between team members, including generating inter-rater reliability measures

-- Challenges of having team members working across Windows and Mac versions

Prerequisites: Attendance at minimally the NVivo 1 workshop (live or recorded) and preferably the NVivo 2 workshop (live or recorded).

NOTE:

-- This workshop uses the Windows version -- differences in interface, functionality, and features may make it difficult to follow along with the Windows workshop if you are using a Mac. We do not offer workshops/recordings on the Mac version due to having no Mac access to do so. If you are a GSU faculty, staff, or students and need training for the Mac version of NVivo, please directly contact Mandy Swygart-Hobaugh, Ph.D.

-- Please read our Workshops ~ Etiquette & Policies page for pertinent information to your workshop attendance.

Presenter: Mandy Swygart-Hobaugh, Ph.D., Data Services Librarian and member of the Library's Research Data Services Team
